It's a common story - your dog loves their treats around the home, but if you're out on a walk and they see another dog, it's as if you are trying to get them to eat small bits of gravel. Excitement and stress often decrease your dog's interest in their usual treats, so what can you do? The solution is oftentimes as simple as switching to a different treat, and in this video Elisheba Fay of Art and Science Behavior Services will teach you how to determine what food or treats will work best when your dog is struggling to focus.

Elisheba has been training, playing with, and studying dogs for over 25 years. She started out raising Guide Dog puppies when she was only 14, and went on to train service dogs, therapy dogs, pets, and sport dogs before landing in consulting for dogs with serious behavioral needs. Her favorite work involves helping humans learn to deeply connect with and honor the animals in their lives by learning communication and coping skills alongside their animal companions.
