Description
L.E.G.S. stands for Learning, Environment, Genetics and Self - the four components that dog trainer Kim Brophey considers when looking at an animal's behavior. Antecedents are the conditions which precede behavior. In this module, Kim examines the common behavioral maxim of antecedents lead to behavior which leads to consequences, and redefines what qualifies as an antecedent. Using Tinbergen's Four Questions as a starting point, Kim examines the evolutionary factors as well as prior experiences throughout the life of the dog and discusses how these qualify as antecedents.
